About
In 1998, Cathy Furst created a special birthday gift for a dear friend who had recently relocated to California. Cathy enlisted help from her carpool partner, the very talented mosaic artist Mary Guenveur, to design both a necklace and a pair of earrings. Instantly, friends and neighbors were clamoring to purchase similar designs from the duo. The unexpected frenzy continued to grow and soon area retailers were carrying their designs. Cathy and Mary had, serendipitously, started their very own jewelry company.
Nation-wide recognition of Guenveur Furst jewelry increased when In Style Magazine repeatedly featured their necklaces and bracelets on the Style File page. Guenveur Furst was picked up by retailers such as Neiman Marcus online, Santa Fe Dry Goods, The Dallas Museum of Art Gift Shop, and the upscale boutique, Forty Five Ten. Guenveur Furst customers were worldwide.
Keeping the name Guenveur Furst, but shortening it to GFurst for quick reference and online search purposes, we continue the legacy of creating fresh, beautiful, collectable designs locally, out of our Dallas studio. We are committed to exceptional quality and outstanding customer service.
We hear time and time again from our customers how much they love and wear the GFurst jewelry that they have collected throughout the years… and that just makes us smile!
